Wynyard Walk | PerfArt Project

Project Completion: 2017

September 30, 2020

Winners of the ASSDA 2017 Fabricator of the year Award for this project, Stoddart worked alongside CPB Contractors & others on the creation of the Wynyard Station Walkway and Clarence St station entrance. Over 1,600m2 of perforated metal was incorporated into the design, equating to over 1,500 panels to create this aesthetically pleasing winding walkway between Wynyard Station and Barangaroo in Sydney’s CBD.

The stainless steel panels supplied by Stoddart were both for internal and external application in the façade of the new entrance in Clarence St and the internal fitout of the new portal entrances and tunnel lining works of Stage 4, Clarence St. The intricate pattern required were all executed within Stoddart’s factory in Karawatha, Brisbane. The design work was completed wholly on CAD and Solidworks to ensure each panel fitted exactly into the pattern and alongside each other with precision, with all panels then manufactured completely in the Brisbane facility.

The project was the first stage of a $160 million upgrade of Wynyard Station. The station now features wider access points as well as new entrances from Clarence St and Kent St to Wynyard Station.
